The performance fee

Aurum takes 10% of the trading fees and rewards a vault collects, when it harvests: earn $100, keep $90. It never comes out of the money you put in.

The fee is set per vault and shown on each vault's page under Rules & safety. The contracts cap it at 15%: it can never be set higher.

Fees on a deposit

  • Paying with one of the vault's own tokens: no swap fee. Part of your deposit is swapped for the other token in the vault's pool, at the pool's trading fee.
  • Paying with another token: first a 0.25% swap fee on the swap through 0x, then the same split in the pool.
  • Price limits: swaps can move the price a little against you; the limits are on the Deposit page.

An example: you deposit $1,000 in ETH into a vault whose pool charges 0.3%.

Cost
Swap fee: 0.25% of $1,000$2.50
Pool trading fee, if about half is split off: 0.3% of about $499about $1.50
Network fees for all the stepsabout $0.20
Togetherabout $4.20, or 0.4%

The deposit window shows the swap fee and the network fee before you confirm.

Fees on a withdrawal

Aurum charges nothing to withdraw.

  • Receiving both tokens: only the network fee.
  • Receiving one token: also the pool's trading fee on the part that's swapped, and its price impact. The withdraw window shows the price impact first.

What you don't pay

  • No yearly or management fee.
  • No fee to withdraw, and no lock-up.
  • No network fees for the agent's work. Aurum pays the gas for every harvest and range move.

Can fees change?

Aurum can change a vault's performance fee, within the 15% cap written into the contracts. The current fee is always on the vault's page. For who can change what, see How your money is protected.
